01 Who we are

Recalley ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered conversation memory application available on Android. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and how we use it.

02 What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Audio recordings — captured temporarily during a session for transcription and AI processing. Audio is not stored on our servers after processing is complete.
• Transcriptions and extracted memories — the text output from your recordings (commitments, follow-ups, summaries) stored securely on your device and optionally in your account.
• Account information — email address and authentication credentials if you create an account.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics such as session counts, feature usage, and crash reports to help us improve the app. This data cannot be linked back to your conversations.
• Device information — operating system version, app version, and device model for technical support purposes.

03 What we do NOT collect

• We do not store audio recordings on our servers after processing.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
• We do not use your conversation content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
• We do not share your extracted memories or transcripts with advertisers.

04 How we use your data

The data we collect is used solely to provide and improve the Recalley service:

• Transcribing audio and extracting meaningful memories, commitments, and follow-ups using AI.
• Storing extracted memories securely so you can access, search, and manage them.
• Sending you summaries, digests, and reminders you have opted into.
• Diagnosing technical issues and improving app performance.
• Communicating important service updates or changes to this policy.

05 Audio processing & AI

When you record a conversation, the audio is securely transmitted to our processing servers. Our AI systems transcribe the audio and extract key memories, commitments, and follow-ups. Once processing is complete, the raw audio file is permanently deleted from our servers.

Transcriptions are used exclusively to generate your memory extracts. They are not reviewed by human staff except in cases where you explicitly request support or report a bug.

06 Data storage & security

Your extracted memories and account data are stored on encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security practices including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
• Access controls limiting which personnel can access production data.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you become aware of any security issue, please contact us immediately at support@recalley.com.

07 Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected.
• Deletion — request that your account and associated data be permanently deleted.
• Portability — request your data in a portable format.
• Objection — object to certain types of data processing.

08 Third-party services

Recalley uses a limited number of third-party services to operate:

• AI transcription providers — audio is processed by AI services under strict data processing agreements that prohibit data retention and training.
• Cloud infrastructure — encrypted data is hosted on reputable cloud platforms with SOC 2 compliance.
• Analytics — anonymised, aggregated usage data only. No personally identifiable information is shared.

We do not use advertising networks or social media tracking pixels.

09 Children's privacy

Recalley is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Recalley after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
